The place to go for fun and exciting programs designed especially for children and families, as well as for those looking for easier or more difficult terrain. Headquarters for the Childrens Ski School Programs, Friendly Penguin Child Care Center (daycare for ages 12 weeks to 12 years), First Tracks Program (2 to 4 years), Ministars Slide and Play (5 to 6 years), Superstars (7 to 12 years). The Killington Medical Center is located next door.

Serving breakfast and lunch daily with lots of kid-friendly options to keep the little ones on the go, including pizza from Benedetto’s Pizzeria, home-style favorites such as herb crumb topped mac and cheese and made to order deli sandwiches. Also enjoy our fried brownie nuggets with vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Kids Ski & Snowboard School
Our kids group lessons are either a Max 3 or Max 5 Program, students will be in groups no larger than three in a Max 3 program or five in a Max 5 program. Smaller groups allow our instructors to focus on a personalized learning environment for kids.
Kids Private Lessons
Ages 4 and older, all private lessons are by reservation only. Stop by the Private Lessons Desk located at Ramshead Lodge or call (800) 923-9444 for available dates and times. Lessons run 1, 2, 3 or 6 hours. Private group lessons are also available for up to five people. Reserved private lessons meet o the uphill side at Snowshed Lodge.
Friendly Penguin Nursury/Day Care
Ages 12 weeks to 12 years, prepaid reservations required. Full day: 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m. start on weekends and peak days.
First Tracks – MAX 3
Ages 2 to 4, prepaid reservations required. Full day: 8:30 a.m.-3:45 p.m., Half day: 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. or 12:45-3:45p.m. with an 8:00 a.m. start during weekends and peak days.
Ministars Slide and Play – MAX 5
Ages 5 to 6, prepaid reservations required. Full day: 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Half day: 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m. with an 8:00 a.m. start during weekends and peak days.
Superstars – MAX 5
Ages 7 to 12, Full day: 9:15 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Half day: 9:15-11:45 a.m. or 12:45-3:00 p.m. available at 9:00 a.m.
Snowzone – MAX 5
Ages 13 to 18, Full day: 9:15 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Half day: 9:15-11:45 a.m. or 12:45-3:00 p.m.
Terrain Options
Green Circle
The Snowplay Area is serviced by two Magic Carpets and is a great place for first timers to practice their turns. Use the ski tunnel as a pass to Snowshed and all of its great learning terrain. A ride up Ramshead Express Quad offers up Easy Street, or Caper to Great Northern as returning trails to Ramshead. Use Caper to Great Northern for a gateway to the Snowdon and K-1 lifts.
Blue Square
Ski or ride directly under the Ramshead Express Quad on one of our classic trails, Header, or check out Swirl for some twists and turns. Squeeze Play is a great trail for those wanting to discover tree skiing.
Black Diamond
While there are no Black Diamond runs off Ranshead Mountain itself, you're a short lift ride away from accessing more challenging terrain. Ride the Ramshead Express Quad and take Caper to Great Northern for a comfortable ride up the K-1 Espress Gondola. The steeps of the Canyon, the headwalls of Cascade and Downdraft begin right under the top of the K-1 Express Gondola. From Ramshead you can also head through the tunnel to the Snowshed lifts and take a run down Highlander to Superstar Express Quad for all the goods on Skye Peak including Superstar, Skyehawk and easy access to the Needle's Eay area.
Valet Parking
Available for only $20 per day, offered daily from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Please follow signs to Valet Drop Zone, located next to Ramshead Drop-off Zone.
