Throwing weather darts; snowmaking on Ovation

The National Weather Service is throwing darts at the forecasting dartboard and trying to figure out just how much snow we’re in for over the next few days. But, according to my contact at the NWS in Burlington (who is also a skis), we’re in for some good snow over the next few days, so much so, that he’s planning to make a drive south and product test with us on Monday.

Eight Lifts, Up to 30 Trails for This Weekend

The first significant snowstorm of the season will set us up real nicely for the coming weekend. With 13 inches already on the ground and more to come in the next few days, plus perfect snowmaking conditions, we are planning for a massive terrain expansion for Saturday.

Weather for the month of November has been dominated by high pressure and warm temperatures that have resulted in minimal snowmaking opportunities at not only Killington Resort, but all resorts across New England.
