New Killington Spring Pass!
Posted March 9, 2010
After our five feet of snow in February, March has rolled in with a taste of spring skiing and riding as temperatures have touched the low 40s with brilliant sunshine and blue sky.
Indeed, the soft snow of spring means longer days (don’t forget to spring your clocks forward this weekend!), soft moguls and some great spring events, including the 30th Annual Bud Light Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge March 26-27, Sunshine Daydream and Pond Skimming on April 17.
This spring we’re also offering a Spring Pass with unlimited skiing and riding for just $169 from March 22 through May 2 (weather and snow conditions permitting). Spring passes go on sale today at 2 p.m.
2010-11 Season Passes also go on sale today at 2 p.m., offering new pass holders who pay in full the opportunity to use their 2010-11 passes from March 22 through the remainder of the current season. Or, take advantage of the summer payment plan for your 2010-11 season passes - pay in three easy installments. Unlimited adult passes are just $999 when purchased by the April 29th deadline. Blackout and Midweek passes are also available.
Stash Gathering this Weekend
The Burton Super Demo Tour and Stash Gathering roll into town this weekend, offering snowboarders an opportunity to ride the latest Burton gear. Competitors taking part in the Stash Gathering at Bear Mountain will be feasting on a free BBQ lunch at The Stash Sugar Shack and competing for a ton of Burton prizes. Registration is still open for Saturday’s competition.

Does this mean that Killington will either (1) definitely close on May 2, or (2) is likely to close on May 2? This is relevant to those who are considering to buy the spring pass. As you know Sugarbush is offering a spring pass as well and it is likely that they will close after May 2nd. As far as I can tell, a lot of snowmaking has been going on on Superstar and it would seem possible for K to go back to its glory days of the Superstar glacier and stay open until mid-late May. Is this a REAL possibility or is it very likely not going to happen?
