Snowmaking will be underway on Outer Limits by Friday as we plan on skiing Bear Mountain’s signature trail under the guns sometime this weekend.
Skyeship, Terrain Expansion for Christmas Day

Thanks to the hard work by our snowmaking and mountain operations team, the Skyeship Gondola and the Skyeship Lodge open for the season on Saturday, Dec. 25. By this weekend, we expect to offer up to 70 trails and 35 miles of skiing and riding terrain, including Great Eastern Trail.

With a return to winter temperatures this week, our mountain operations team continues with round-the-clock snowmaking as we complete resurfacing and continue expansion plans toward the Skye Peak and Bear Mountain areas.

In the coming weeks, we will be constructing the Peak Walkway from the top of the North Ridge Triple to the top of the K-1 Gondola to provide both summer sightseeing access and early-season winter access to upper mountain ski/ride terrain.

The Winter Dew Tour today announced that Vermont’s Killington Resort will host the second of three stops for the Tour’s third season, January 20-23, 2011. The four-day event will feature a 22-foot superpipe while showcasing the top winter athletes from around the world competing in freeskiing (slopestyle and superpipe) and snowboarding (slopestyle and superpipe).
Grand Hotel helping to save the world one bar of soap at a time

As part of Killington Resort’s ongoing efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle, the Killington Grand Resort Hotel & Spa have partnered with Clean the World to recycle the more than 25,000 bars of soap and 12,000 bottles of shampoo our hotel guests use annually.
