Gatorade Free Flow Tour

The Gatorade Free Flow Tour, the official amateur series of the Winter Dew Tour, returns to Killington Resort’s Bear Mountain for Superpipe and Junior Jam competitions. This Tour features snowboarding and freeski Superpipe and Slopestyle competitions across the country.

Due to the the recent addition of the January 29 stop of the Gatorade Free Flow Tour, the Killington Resort stop will feature only the Superpipe and Junior Jam Rail Jam events.

The winner of each open division of each regional event earns a trip to compete in the Winter Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals held in conjunction with the Winter Dew Tour’s Toyota Championships at Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, Utah on February 9-12, 2012 . The champions in each of the disciplines of the Winter Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals will earn a spot to compete against the pros at the first stop of the 2012-13 Winter Dew Tour.

Event Details

The winners of each open division of each contest will travel to the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals, taking place in conjunction with the Winter Dew Tour’s Toyota Championships, February 9-12, 2012 at Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, UT. One champion will be crowned in each of the following disciplines:

Superpipe

  • Male Snowboard Open (21 & under)
  • Female Snowboard Open (21 & under)
  • Junior Jam* Snowboard (13 & under male and female)
  • Freeski Open (21 & under male and female)
  • Junior Jam* Freeski (13 & under male and female)

Junior Jam Rail Jam

  • Junior Jam* Snowboard (13 & under male and female)
  • Junior Jam* Freeski (13 & under male and female)

*Winners of the Junior Jam do not qualify for the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals.

Encompassing the “Flow to Pro” theme, the cornerstone of the Gatorade Free Flow Tour, the two overall snowboard and freeski superpipe and slopestyle champions at the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals at Snowbasin Resort will earn a spot to compete against the pros at the first stop of the 2012-13 Winter Dew Tour.

**The 1st place finisher of each open division will travel to the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals, taking place in conjunction with the Winter Dew Tour’s Toyota Championships, February 9-12, 2012 at Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, UT.

Registration

Advanced registration is now closed.

Registration will take place on-site on the day of the event from 7:00-8:45 a.m on a space-available basis. If a discipline is full, a standby list will be created on a first-come, first-serve basis. If an online registrant fails to check in before 8:45 a.m. on the contest day, their spot will be filled from the standby list.

Rules

For this competition, all competitors are required to wear helmets.

Divisions:

All competitors must be 21 years old or younger on the day of the event and must be considered an amateur athlete.

Four Junior Divisions

Boys and Girls ages 13 and under on the day of the event will compete together

Junior competitors are welcome to enter the Open Divisions if they choose, however, competitors can only compete in one age division.

Competition Format:

Male & Female Superpipe Format

Competitors will be randomly grouped into one heat. Competitors will receive three runs with a best run counts format. There is no separate final.

Junior Jam Superpipe Format

Competitors will be randomly grouped into one heat. Competitors will receive two runs with a best run counts format. There is no separate final.

Junior Jam Rail Jam Format

A 30 minute jam on different features in a judged zone.
